California Technical Bulletin 117-2013 (TB 117-2013):  All upholstered products manufactured by KI meet or exceed the requirements set forth in TB 117-2013 and are labeled accordingly.

California Technical Bulletin 133 (TB 133):  KI offers numerous products that can be manufactured to meet the flammability requirements set forth in TB 133. For products to meet the requirements of this open-flame test, changes in materials are made. Restrictions are placed on fabric selections and product type. When ordering product to comply with TB 133, the FR or TB 133 option must be selected in the model number string. Please see individual sections in the Price List for additional cost and lead-times, which vary between products. The Fire Approval codes shown on this screen apply to the fabric and product combination in regard to TB 133.

  1. Fabric applied as swatched unless otherwise specified by the customer.
  2. The TB 133 option is only applicable with patterns that are upholstery approved.
  3. Any product with a separate moisture barrier requires evaluation/testing.
  4. Memory foam on various products requires evaluation/testing.
  5. The poly tablet arm option on Torsion on the Go! seating is not TB 133 approved. If TB 133 approval is required, a special can be entered for a laminated wood tablet arm option.
  6. The following products/options are not available with the TB 133 option: Concerto and Lancaster auditorium seating with acoustic option; Engage seating with memory foam; Impress Ultra seating, Intellect and Ivy League Plus classroom furniture with molded ABS material; Kismet seating; Pilot seating; Cody ottoman; Mesa seating with button; Mini Tea Cup seating; Perth closed arm patient chair and closed arm multiple seating; urethane arm caps on any healthcare, lobby and lounge or multiple seating except the Soltíce collection.
